Privacy Policy Statement

The Aire Rivers Trust (hereinafter, also referred to as  “we” or “our”) are committed to respecting your privacy and to complying with relevant data protection and privacy laws. Our data collection and processing activities are designed to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998.

This privacy policy statement is intended to aid your understanding of how we collect, use and protect information provided by you.

Our operations sometimes necessitate collection of personal information other than that covered by the generic ‘charity exemptions’ and so we have registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office as required by The Data Protection Act. The statement below is based on the statement provided to the ICO as part of our registration and outlines what we collect, why we collect it, how we process and secure it and with whom we share it.

We process personal information to enable us to provide a voluntary service for the benefit of the public in a particular geographical area as specified in our constitution; administer membership records; to fundraise and promote the interests of the charity; manage our employees and volunteers; maintain our own accounts and records.
