At last! Funding bid for the Listening Sculpture submitted to the Arts Council in early May. We’ve said it will cost £63K, that we will provide £12K in-kind and £8K in cash so asked for £43K. Answer in early August.
Even with the grant, we still need to raise £5,000. We’ve already had £575 pledged by members. And one of our supporters is turning his birthday party into a fund-raiser, asking for donations instead of presents!
So if you have a spare £5 or £500, please let me know – £500 will get you a turn with the sandblaster when the words are carved in the sculpture.
