This plaque is in memory of Jackie Emmott born in Bradford on 20th November 1944 and educated at St. Joseph’s College Bradford and Bradford and Ilkley Community College. She achieved British Association of Counselling Accreditation and  was a Relate Counsellor. Jackie was Principal Welfare Officer with West Yorkshire Police Authority until 1995 and then Counsellor at Bradford University. Her expertise included tutorship at Bramshill Police Staff College, Hampshire specialising in Post Traumatic Stress disorder, relationship and drug related problems and psychological debriefing. Jackie retired from her private counselling practice in Ilkley in 2012 and died in a tragic car accident on the 16th September 2012 survived by husband Tony, and twin son and daughter Richard and Josephine.
