Whispering in the dark
Awaiting a rebirth

This plaque is on Bank Street, named for the many banks on this road which served the city.Y ou can just see the dark brown glass front of the former Telegraph and Argus’ print room. Below your feet the Beck runs through a cathedral of vaulted arches. Total darkness hides intricate Victorian masonry, elegant in its symmetry and geometry.
